Our Founder, Ange

I created Grit Pilates Online because I was working 60 hours a week in a busy corporate leadership role and teaching 10 hours a week of Pilates. I had no time for my own practice in the city and then when I moved near Byron Bay, I didn’t have the time to drive 30 minutes to a studio every day. I wanted accessible, super effective movement that I could fit into my day in as little as 10 minutes. So, why Pilates? My entry into the world of Pilates came as the result of an overtraining injury and severe burnout while training for a marathon. Pilates enabled me to move my body mindfully, get stronger and helped in a 23kg weight loss. More than just weight loss, incorporating a regular Pilates and Meditation practice into my routine has exponentially improved my life and mindset and I feel so passionate about sharing that message and making this style of movement accessible to everyone.

Grit online Pilates sessions were a godsend during the lockdowns. The challenging workouts have a consistent theme with lots of variety to keep things engaging. I consider myself pretty fit but I always finish the classes having pushed my limits but have fun along the way!
